OUR STORY

Established in 1983, Seafair Gourmet Meats is a family-run business bringing you over 30 years of savoury experience. An award winning staple amongst the community, Seafair Meats is one of the few butcher shops in the Lower Mainland that uses the culinary process of dry-aging, so you can enjoy more tender and flavourful meat. And with a focus on locally sourced fine food products, you can trust in the quality of the meat you eat.

Our Dry-Aging Process

If you’ve had the good fortune of tasting dry-aged beef, then you know that it has remarkable depth and flavour. These days, most beef you find in grocery stores and even most butcher shops is aged in plastic shrink-wrap. Dry-aged beef, on the other hand, is exposed to air so dehydration can further concentrate the meat’s flavour. While it’s a more expensive and lengthy process, it’s certainly worth it for the succulence and taste, which is why we are dedicated to keeping the art alive for our customers!

To continue our dedication of providing our customers with the highest quality products and meats, in addition to dry-aging our beef, we ensure that all of our products are sourced from local, ethical, and sustainable farmers.
